Between artistic vision, safety, and authenticity, she agreed to tell us about her journey. Could she be the Muse for your next project? 📸

From Communication to Runways: A Pure Coincidence

How did you get into modelling and what drew you to this profession?

Like many, Cloé's story with modelling begins "a little by chance." While she was managing communications for a brand, she found herself in front of the camera to help out during improvised shoots.

"I kept in touch with the team members who were there, and little by little, people started calling me for independent projects," she says.

That's how it all started. After signing with an agency, her career took a turn. "It simply never stopped," she admits.

"People always told me I had a 'particular' profile that could fit this industry, and it turned out to be true!"

In the spotlight, Cloé finally found her place. That atypical profile everyone had predicted for her became her signature. 📸

The Artistic "Feeling": Choosing the Right Project 🎨

What is most important to you when you accept a shoot?

"It's often the Art Direction (AD). I'm someone who really loves understanding other people's universe and I want to do my best to represent it through the photos."

Beyond the concept, the human aspect is vital for our Muse of the month.

"It's also a matter of feeling with the photographer or the stylist. If I see that the person genuinely wants my profile, I look for a correlation between our two artistic universes."

The Importance of a "Safe Place" 🛡️

What makes you feel truly confident on a shoot?

In an industry that can sometimes be intimidating, Cloé is categorical: safety is non-negotiable. She recalls a time when she asked to be accompanied to a shoot, just to feel safer, but was told it wasn't possible. For her, no doubt about it that's a red flag that immediately led to the project being cancelled.

"Now, I make sure to know the people I'm working with," she says. "When I have the chance to work with other models I know, it creates a safe place in my mind and a good atmosphere on set."

She also highlights the protective role of her agency and platforms like Meet the Muse:

"The founder of my agency is always with us. He told us from the start: if we were refused the right to be accompanied, we would cancel the shoot."

That's hugely reassuring. Her motto?

"When you're accompanied and have a clear brief, you're protected. That's why I always ask if I can bring someone along, even when I'm freelancing."

Boldness as a Signature 🌟

What has modelling taught you about yourself?

"That I wasn't necessarily afraid of other people's gaze," Cloé answers without hesitation.

She recalls a major shoot where thirty pairs of eyes were watching her closely. Her choice? A bold look inspired by the circus world: mustard tights, a golden starfish necklace, and a denim cap.

"I decided to simply offer my own universe. Everyone loved it!" she says enthusiastically. "I noticed that you shouldn't be afraid to pose in unusual ways, and I love to test and innovate. I learned that I could be myself and that the energy I give off when I let myself go in my universe is precisely what people are looking for."

A Muse Nourished by History and Creativity 🎭

What inspires you outside of modelling?

A true encyclopedia of style, Cloé draws her references from a fascinating blend of haute couture and history:

"I'm a huge fan of the medieval era, the history of witches and everything that is fairy-like; these universes feed my imagination and my looks," she confides.

This cultural richness also shows in her fashion references. She readily cites iconic designers such as Vivienne Westwood and the London punk scene of the 70s, the flamboyant theatricality of John Galliano, and the poetic, dark universe of Ann Demeulemeester.

Cinema is also an important artistic stimulus for her.

"I recently watched Frankenstein; the sets and costumes were magnificent. I draw inspiration from everywhere," she explains.

For Cloé, every image is an invitation to create.

What the Industry Is Missing 📢

How are you usually recruited and what do you think about being contacted through social media?

Although she is signed with an agency, Cloé is often contacted on Instagram. She remains very vigilant, however.

"I'm very careful because there are often scams."

Her advice:

"When you're starting out and receive a message to shoot for a big name like Balenciaga, you can easily be blinded by the tempting opportunity. But often they will refuse to go through an agency or a secure platform like Meet the Muse, and in that case, you should run."

Her Future: A Chapter of Building 🚀

Is modelling a long-term project for you?

"I would like it to be for the long term, for a large part of my youth," Cloé confides. "I have other projects close to my heart, but modelling is 100% part of my life."

Where do you see yourself in the coming years?

"I hope to still be living in Brussels with a stable job on the side, but with a rhythm of 2 to 3 shoots per week. I want to be surrounded by people who share the same passion, and why not attend a Fashion Week."

Conclusion

Cloé's journey reminds us that becoming a model often comes down to chance. But once the door is ajar, it's personality that makes the difference. Working in this industry is not without risk, and Cloé is fully aware of that. Her strength? Knowing how to stand out while staying true to herself. An authenticity that, in the end, has become her most beautiful signature.
