By registering, accessing, or using the Meet The Muse platform, the user declares that they have read, understood, and expressly, freely, specifically, knowingly, and unequivocally accepted this privacy policy, and grants their consent for Meet The Muse to collect, process, store, use, and, where applicable, share their personal data in relation to the following activities and purposes, to the extent that such activities are necessary for the proper provision and operation of the platform:

  • The management of bookings, requests, confirmations, cancellations, modifications, and any contractual or pre-contractual interaction between models and clients made through the platform.
  • The management of payments, collections, commissions, billing, and related financial operations, including the stream of strictly necessary data to payment providers and financial institutions, such as Stripe Connect, for the proper execution of transactions.
  • Compliance with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and fraud prevention, money laundering, and terrorist financing obligations, when required by applicable regulations.
  • The improvement, maintenance, security, analysis, development, and optimization of the platform, including usage analysis, internal metrics, technical testing, and the detection of errors, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
  • The prevention, detection, and investigation of illegal, abusive, or fraudulent activities, or those that contravene the terms and conditions of the platform, as well as the adoption of disciplinary or security measures when necessary.
  • Sending operational, technical, administrative, or legal communications related to the functioning of the platform, the user's account, or the services contracted.
  • When the user expressly authorizes it, sending informational, promotional, or commercial communications related to the platform.

The processing of the user's personal data is based, as appropriate, on one or more of the following legal bases: (i) the consent given by the user when accepting this privacy policy and when performing the actions described above; (ii) the performance of an agreement or the implementation of pre-contractual measures requested by the user; (iii) compliance with applicable legal obligations under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), Luxembourg law, and other data protection regulations in force in the jurisdictions where the platform is available; and/or (iv) the legitimate interest of Meet The Muse in ensuring the proper functioning, security, and improvement of the platform, provided that such interest does not prevail over the fundamental rights and freedoms of the user.

3.4. Data related to bookings and transactions

Information related to requests, bookings, confirmations, cancellations, modifications, and other interactions related to the services offered through the platform, including dates, times, locations, associated messages, booking history, and data necessary for the proper management of such operations.

3.5. Financial and payment data

Data necessary for the management of payments, collections, commissions, and billing, such as transaction identifiers, payment status, amounts, currency, transaction history, and, where applicable, information provided to payment service providers. Meet The Muse does not store complete payment card data or other sensitive financial information, which is handled directly by the relevant payment providers.

3.6. Communication data

Information derived from communications made through the platform or in connection with its use, including messages exchanged between users, communications with platform support, emails, notifications, and any other communication content related to the provision of services.

3.7. Technical and platform usage data

Information generated automatically as a result of using the platform, including IP address, device type, operating system, browser, access logs, dates and times of use, interactions within the platform, technical incidents, performance data, and internal metrics.

3.8. Data collected through cookies and similar technologies

Information collected through cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, or other similar tracking technologies implemented on the platform, which may include data about user navigation, preferences, interactions with content, session duration, pages visited, online identifiers, usage patterns, and statistical or analytical data.

3.9. Data related to advertising and marketing functions

Information used for the personalization, measurement, and optimization of informational, promotional, or advertising campaigns, including data on inferred interests, interactions with ads, campaign performance, traffic sources, conversions, and metrics associated with marketing activities on or off the platform, when such features are enabled.

4. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

Meet The Muse retains users' personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, taking into account the nature of the data, the type of user, the features used, and the relationships arising from the use of the platform.

4.1. Account and profile data

Data associated with the user account, including identification, contact, authentication, and profile information, will be retained as long as the account remains active. Data related to requests, bookings, confirmations, cancellations, modifications, and interaction history will be retained for as long as necessary for the proper management of operations carried out through the platform, as well as for addressing queries, disputes, returns, or conflicts that may arise subsequently.

4.4. Financial and payment data

Information related to payments, collections, commissions, billing, and transaction history will be kept for the periods necessary for internal administrative and accounting management, verification of operations, and fraud prevention, without prejudice to certain data being processed directly by the corresponding payment service providers.

4.5. Communication data

Messages, communications, and content exchanged between users or with Meet The Muse through the platform or by other means related to its use may be retained for as long as necessary to ensure continuity of service, resolve incidents, respond to complaints, and maintain records of relevant interactions.

4.6. Technical and platform usage data

Technical data, access logs, browsing information, usage metrics, and activity logs will be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, analysis, improvement, and security of the platform.

4.7. Security and fraud prevention data

Information used for the detection, investigation, and prevention of fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized activities, as well as for the implementation of security measures, will be retained for as long as necessary to protect the platform, users, and the interests of Meet The Muse.

Data obtained through cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies will be retained in accordance with the specific duration of each cookie or technology, which may be session or persistent cookies, depending on their purpose and configuration.

Information used for sending or analyzing informational, promotional, or advertising communications will be kept for as long as there is an active relationship with the user or as long as the user continues to interact with such communications, without prejudice to the retention of minimum records necessary for internal purposes.

This is processed for the purpose of enabling secure access to the platform, authenticating users, managing credentials, preventing unauthorized access, protecting accounts, and ensuring the integrity of the systems.

5.3. Professional profile data and content provided

This is collected to enable the publication and display of profiles, facilitate intermediation between models and clients, display relevant information to other users, manage availability, preferences, and content, and allow users to interact and make informed decisions within the platform.

5.4. Data related to bookings and transactions

Used to manage requests, bookings, confirmations, cancellations, and modifications; maintain a history of interactions; facilitate coordination between users; and enable the proper execution of operations carried out through the platform.

5.5. Financial and payment data

Meet The Muse may use the contact details provided by the user to send them communications and notifications related to the operation of the platform, the management of their account, the provision of services, bookings, transactions, incidents, technical updates, operational changes, security notices, and other information necessary for the proper use of the platform. Likewise, Meet The Muse may send informational, promotional, or commercial communications related to the platform, its services, or functionalities when the user has interacted with such communications or has authorized their receipt. Communications may be sent via email, notifications within the platform, automatic messages, or other means of contact provided by the user. Meet The Muse may keep minimal records of such communications and notifications for operational, security, and traceability purposes.

6.3. Business Transfers

In the event that Meet The Muse creates, merges with, or is acquired by another entity, your information will most likely be transferred. Meet The Muse will email you or place a prominent notice on our platform before your information becomes subject to another privacy policy.

To exercise any of these rights, the user may submit a written request to Meet The Muse using the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy, providing the necessary information to allow the applicant to be correctly identified. Meet The Muse may request additional information when reasonably necessary to verify the user's identity and protect the confidentiality of the data.

Meet The Muse will respond to requests within a maximum period of one (1) month from receipt. This period may be extended by up to two (2) additional months when justified by the complexity of the request or the volume of requests received, informing the user of such extension within the initial period.
